Following breakfast at the hotel, we bid you to embrace the relaxed cadence of coastal living as we set out for Price Edward Island Preserve Company—a charming destination on the North Shore known for its specialty foods, local pottery, and Gardens of Hope. Amid the beauty of these serene environs, enjoy an Unraveling Joy embroidery workshop led by needlework instructor Rebecca MacDonald. Our embroidery project, themed to Anne of Green Gables, will serve as a lasting memento of our time together. The evening holds a private after-hours tour of the Green Gables Heritage Place.
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will enjoy a private tour of the Anne of Green Gables Museum. We will be joined by a member of the Campbell family; they have lived on the property since 1776. Our visit promises raspberry cordials, a carriage ride along the Lake of Shining Waters, and a signed hardcover book. Next, we will explore the shops and eateries of Avonlea Village, with lunch on our own, before culminating our day with a chef-prepared farm-to-table feast at The Inn at Bay Fortune.
Following breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Bideford Parsonage Museum, which will be closed to the public during our visit. This day of bliss includes a private tour of L. M. Montgomery’s former home, an afternoon tea, and a book club discussion of the author’s best-loved series. Joining our week’s host, Victoria Editor Melissa Lester, will be friend of the magazine Hayley Solano of Her Literary Society.
Following breakfast at the hotel, savor a day of leisure exploring the amenities of Dalvay by the Sea, with time to explore PEI on your own. The itinerary holds a rejuvenating treatment at the resort’s spa and a painting workshop with local watercolor artist Julia Purcell. We will conclude this day of bliss with a closing dinner and an exchange of L. M. Montgomery books.

Dalvay by the Sea is a historic oceanfront inn located within Prince Edward Island National Park. Set in a beautifully preserved Queen Anne-style mansion overlooking Dalvay Lake, the property is known for its gracious hospitality, coastal charm, and serene natural surroundings. With elegant accommodations, sweeping water views, and access to the island’s scenic landscapes, Dalvay provides a peaceful and picturesque setting for our stay on Prince Edward Island.
You’ll fly into Charlottetown Airport (YYG), which is serviced from several major hubs in Canada, with connecting flights available from many cities in the United States. Transportation for all scheduled retreat activities is included.

Changes, Cancellations & Unforeseen Events
We are not responsible for expenses related to travel delays, cancellations, illness, injury, or other events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, government actions, and airline or transportation issues.
In the event that we must cancel this retreat due to circumstances beyond our control, our liability will be limited to a refund of amounts paid to us, or a credit toward a future retreat, at our discretion. We are not responsible for additional expenses such as airfare, lodging, or other travel costs.
Health & Travel Risks
Travel involves inherent risks, including the risk of exposure to communicable illnesses. By booking this retreat, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume responsibility for your own health and safety during the trip.
If you become ill during the retreat, particularly with a suspected or confirmed contagious condition, the group leaders may require you to modify or end your participation if they reasonably believe your presence poses a health or safety risk to other participants. In such cases, no refund or credit will be provided.
Program Changes
Due to circumstances beyond our control, certain activities, instructors, services, or amenities may be modified, substituted, or unavailable. Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund, but we will work tirelessly to make sure you have the best experience possible.

The itinerary has been thoughtfully designed to allow for leisure time throughout our stay on Prince Edward Island. Guests are encouraged to explore, relax, shop, or enjoy optional experiences such as spa services.
What should I pack for the retreat?
We recommend smart casual attire with comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing and excursions. For creative workshops, wear comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on activities. For group dinners, dressy or cocktail attire is encouraged.
Is this retreat suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Some activities include walking on uneven surfaces, historic sites, and outdoor paths. While we do our best to accommodate all guests, participants should be comfortable with moderate walking. Please contact victoriaevents@hoffmanmedia.com with specific questions or needs.
Are spa services included?
Yes. One spa treatment is included during the retreat. Guests are also welcome to book additional spa services at their own expense, subject to availability.
Are meals included?
Select meals are included. Most lunches and some dinners are on your own, allowing flexibility to explore local dining.

Travel insurance is not required but is strongly recommended. The retreat is nonrefundable, and travel insurance may help protect against unforeseen changes or interruptions.
